The club is one of the oldest clubs in Scotland and over
the years its members have played an important part in developing Judo throughout Scotland and the UK. The Club is often referred by other as the sleeping giant of Scottish Judo. This is due to the number of international players and officials that we produced during the clubs early years.
Today the club is well placed to repeat history having over one hundred active Junior & Senior members and a new double area (Dojo) training hall with seating for events. The club has one of the best training facilities in Scotland and the UK and is one of the largest, safest dojo's anywhere.
The dojo is used for national and local events throughout the year and its faculties are used by other sports for training and seminars.
The club run classes for children and adults 3 nights a week and the club has the highest number of qualified coaches in Scotland and the UK. We have a number of UKCC Level 1 & 2 coaches who are also BJA Senior Club Coaches. Our Classes cater for all levels from beginner to the more advanced players. During our (Junior) children's classes, children learn the sport of Judo while taking part in Judo skill related games. As well as this the children are getting fit and learning to respect and look after others in the sport of Judo and throughout their life.
We offer you and (or) your children a first class experience as you learn the sport of Judo. The club has many special guests & visitors over the normal training year who come from all over the world to visit the club, This can include world champions and Olympic medalists and of course some of the best coaches that the world has to offer.
